SEO: being found by your clients, not just being online

A site nobody finds does not make the phone ring. We work on your SEO from the day the site goes live: the structure of the site, how fast it appears, pages written around what your clients type, the Google Business Profile, the measurement of results. We guarantee no position. We show what gets done, and what you can check yourself.

What is done even before the site goes live

  • A clear address for each page, readable by a human being.
  • A title and a description written page by page.
  • One idea per page, so that Google knows which one to offer.
  • Light pages that appear quickly on a phone.
  • Structured data written for your line of business.
  • A sitemap sent to Google on the day it opens.

No WordPress  ·  No compulsory subscription  ·  Source code handed over  ·  Search Console and Analytics in your name

SEO starts when the site goes live, not six months later

Most sites are put online, then optimised later, by somebody else, by repairing what was badly built. We do the opposite. The structure, the titles, the page addresses and the speed are decided while the site is being designed, at the point where it costs nothing.

Before the site goes live

  • A clear address for each page, written in plain words and readable by a human being.
  • A title and a description written page by page, never produced in bulk.
  • One idea per page, so that Google knows which one to offer.
  • Light pages that appear quickly on a phone, including on 4G.
  • Structured data written for your line of business.
  • A sitemap sent to Google on the day it opens.

On the day the site goes live

  • Search Console and Analytics installed, then transferred into your name.
  • The Google Business Profile created or taken over, consistent with the site.
  • A first record of indexed pages and positions, dated, to be used as the point of comparison.

Why a site written by hand starts ahead

Google does not read your design. It reads code, and it measures how long your pages really take to appear for your visitors.

A site built on a bought theme carries features you will barely use. Every extension adds files to load, updates to keep track of and settings that contradict each other. A site written for your business contains only what you need.

That changes four things.

  • The weight of the pages

We do not send useless code, so your pages appear quickly, even on a phone on 4G. The speed measured for your visitors, what Google calls Core Web Vitals, is part of what it looks at.

  • The structure

The headings, the internal links and the page addresses are written one by one. Nothing is churned out by a template.

  • The markup

The structured data describes your trade, not a generic trade. A law firm, a hotel and a component manufacturer do not have the same information to give.

  • How long it lasts

There is no layer to update every month, so nothing breaks quietly between two jobs.

We are not saying that a site on a CMS cannot rank well. We are saying that you have to correct what the CMS adds, whereas here there is nothing to correct.

See how the site is built

What we do, item by item

Four jobs, carried out in this order. None is optional, and none replaces the others.

1The technical groundwork

Page addresses in plain words, one subject per page, titles and descriptions written one by one, a clean heading hierarchy, internal links that are thought through, structured data, a sitemap regenerated at every update, pages open to the indexing robots. It is the part nobody sees, and it is the part that decides everything else.

2Local SEO

One page per service and, when real activity on the ground justifies it, one page per area you cover. Your name, your address and your telephone number written in exactly the same way on the site, on the Google Business Profile and in directories. Markup for your premises. A simple way to ask your clients for a review.

3The content

We write for what your clients type, not for the vocabulary of your trade. One page per service, text that answers the question before it sells, and a blog when your package includes one. The questions you hear on the phone every day make the best pages on the site.

4Measurement

Search Console to know which searches you appear on and what gets clicked. Analytics to know what visitors do. Quote requests counted at source, to connect a page to a real client. Monthly report with the Evolve plan.

See what you receive

The Google Business Profile, your second shop window

When somebody looks for a plumber, a lawyer or a restaurant near them, Google first shows a map and a few businesses. That block is not filled by your site. It is filled by your Google Business Profile.

What we do with it

  • Creating the profile, or taking over the one that already exists and that nobody has opened for years.
  • Choosing the primary category and the secondary categories, which decide the searches you can appear on.
  • Description, opening hours, area covered and list of services, written with your clients' words.
  • Real photos of your premises, your team or your jobs, supplied by you.
  • Links to the right pages on the site, service by service, and not to the home page.
  • Name, address and telephone number strictly identical everywhere. A single variation in the way they are written weakens the signal.
  • A simple way to ask for a review after each job, and to reply to it.

Rebuilding without losing what you already have

It is the first question from every owner who already has a site: am I going to go backwards?

The loss of visits after a rebuild rarely comes from the new design. It comes from two things: page addresses that change without anyone telling Google, and text that was working and got shortened to look neat.

Our method, in this order

  1. A complete record of the addresses on your current site, before touching anything.
  2. Identifying, in your Search Console, the pages that already receive visits from Google.
  3. A decision page by page: keep the address, point it to the new one, or remove it deliberately.
  4. Redirects written one by one. Never a blanket redirect to the home page, which is the quickest way to lose everything.
  5. Reusing the content that works, rewritten without hollowing it out.
  6. A check after the site goes live: indexed pages, errors, positions, compared with the starting record.

3 Transmissions

The site was on WordPress. It was rebuilt custom-built, with a catalog in six categories and a quote request built in. You can open it and judge for yourself.

What we do not promise

No guaranteed position. Nobody can guarantee a place on Google, or hold it over time. Those who promise it are selling something they do not control.

No guaranteed timescale on a keyword. We can say what gets done and when it gets done. Not when Google will take it into account.

No bought links. They can be bought, they can be spotted, and they are paid for later.

No numerical commitment on a number of quote requests.

No pages churned out for a town where you have neither an address nor a client.

What we do commit to: the work carried out, its description in black and white, and your logins. You open Search Console whenever you like, without asking our permission.

What you receive, and what you can check yourself

SEO is the field where it is easiest to invoice without ever showing anything. We would rather give you the keys.

When the site goes live

  • Your Search Console and Analytics logins, created in your name and sent to your inbox.
  • Owner access to your Google Business Profile, in your name.
  • The list of your pages with, for each one, the search it targets, the title and the description.
  • The starting record of indexed pages and positions, dated.
  • The source files of the site, as with all our projects.

Every month, with the Evolve plan

  • The searches you appeared on, the ones that were clicked, the ones that are climbing.
  • The pages that receive visits, and the ones that receive none.
  • The speed measured for your visitors.
  • The quote requests received, and the page they came in through.
  • What was done during the month, and what is planned for the next one.

The report fits on one page. It is made to be read in five minutes, not to dress up an invoice.

Already have a site, built elsewhere?

We also work on the SEO of a site we did not build, provided we can work in the code or in the page templates. On some closed platforms, part of the technical work is impossible, and we tell you so before making a proposal. The scope and the price are set after a first review of your site.

Three live sites, which you can open right now

We show no rating, no number of clients, no percentage of growth. We have three sites in production, and their addresses.

Frequently asked questions

How long before I see results?

It depends on your line of business, your town and what already exists. Technical fixes are taken into account within a few weeks. On a contested search, expect several months of regular content. Anyone who gives you a precise date is inventing it.

Do you guarantee first position on Google?

No, and nobody can guarantee it. We commit to the work carried out, described in black and white, and to your logins so you can check it yourself.

Do I need a blog?

Not always. A tradesperson with five services and one area covered does not need one straight away. A practice or a hotel that has to answer detailed questions does. The blog is included in the PRO package.

What happens if I change supplier?

You leave with everything. The source files of the site, the hosting login, Search Console, Analytics and the Google Business Profile have been in your name since day one. Nothing is registered in ours.

Is SEO included in the price of the site?

Yes, at a level that depends on the package: basic SEO and a Google Business Profile in ESSENTIAL at $1,450 excl. tax, full local SEO with blog and Analytics in PRO at $2,350 excl. tax. Monthly follow-up is then optional.

Do you work on the SEO of a site you did not build?

Yes, if we can work in the code or in the page templates. On some closed platforms, part of the technical work is impossible, and we tell you so before making a proposal. The scope and the price are set after a first review.

Do you want to be found for your trade and your town?

Tell us your line of business, your town, and the address of your current site if you have one. We look at what is already in place and reply within 24 working hours.
